Albion College and Kellogg Community College Partner to Offer Smooth Transfer Process
Articulation agreement focuses on assisting students with straightforward curriculum transition.
A new partnership will allow students who complete an associate/pre-baccalaureate degree at Kellogg Community College to easily transfer and complete an Albion College baccalaureate degree.
Albion College announced today a unique partnership with Kellogg Community College, facilitating the transfer of students who complete an associate/pre-baccalaureate degree at Kellogg Community College to a degree program at Albion College. The agreement provides students with a smooth curriculum transition that minimizes loss of credit and duplication of coursework. Albion College Provost Ron Mourad and Kellogg Community College President Dr. Adrien L. Bennings made the announcement.
The agreement is designed to allow students from Kellogg Community College and other regionally accredited institutions to transfer courses aiding in the completion of an Albion College baccalaureate degree. Separate academic pathways, called program agreements, outline transfer credits, standard admission, curriculum and graduation requirements of both colleges. Students who successfully follow stipulated program agreements and meet all admission requirements at the time of entry may transfer designated course credits.
“Since the beginning of the pandemic, students have experienced new challenges in their journey to degree completion. As an institution of higher learning, it is our responsibility to rise to the moment and create flexible pathways that remove barriers to academic success,” said Ron Mourad, Albion College Provost. “Albion College is committed to a holistic model of support that allows every student to reach their potential. We are excited to build on this with the partnership of Kellogg Community College to create new opportunities for students to enroll and complete their degrees at Albion.”
