Dr. Klein joined Albion College in 2025 after spending one year as a Mellon Humanities Postdoctoral Fellow at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. His writing on cities, inequality, and global history has appeared or is forthcoming in the Journal of Urban History, the Journal of American Ethnic History, and the Los Angeles Times. Dr. Klein teaches courses on U.S. history, capitalism, and environmental history at Albion.
